    I was wondering how people break into script writing for TV shows e.g. Fair City, Pure Mule, Bachelor's Walk etc. Is there a way to get experience working with the writers on these shows and where would I start. Does it pay well? I already have a degree in Communications and some small experience in the area but I have little or no contacts in the area.

    I can't give you much more advice than this, but be aware that with anything in that industry you may well be working for an absolute pittance (if not for nothing) to begin with, until you have built up enough of a good reputation for yourself to warrant proper payment.

    So in answer to your question, no it doesn't pay well until you've broken right into the business, and even then it's unlikely to ever be steady.
