Where in the GMB?

Hi,

I've just been given my room in the GMB and I'm wondering if anyone knows where it is.

I'm in House 28, room 5, which I know is the science end of the GMB.

Does anyone know if this is at the front or the back of the building? Is it close to the steps of the GMB, or closer to the Chaplaincy?

Science end? What?

House 30 is beside the buttery, 28 is closer the claplaincy, senior tutors etc. See here for more info.

5 would be facing into botany bay, and halfway down the corridor, I think.

Off topic but related: For new square - which room numbers face new square, and which (if any) face pearse st.

I have only been in there once or twice..

Very few face Pearse Street if you're in a single. In an appartment, you may have bedrooms facing back but other rooms to the front. Quite humanely arranged.

how come you already got it? are you a first year, and how did you find out?

Normally your full number will tell you what floor you're on - i.e. 34.0.1 is ground floor, 34.1.1. is first floor and so on.

yep - ground floor then, no sleep for me!!

Just out of curiosity, when were you offered the room?

Early june.. cant exactly remember.. why?

Sorry I was talking to the initial poster as he said he's 'just been given a room'. If it was in the last couple of weeks it contradicts something I heard.
