I just noticed that there is no thread actually dedicated to Airsoft guns, just people asking questions about stuff, legal issues, sites ect. So i thought id make one. Just to discuss the guns youre getting/got, or to get help or whatever, instead of making loads of separate ones. So thats it,

Okay, I've an MP7(received today), and a KSC USP Compact that I got back in May. I haven't had a chance to do a review of the MP7, but I can tell you that the KSC USPc has crisp blowback, amazing gas efficiency, and incredible looks. The trademarks look wonderful, and the gun is very accurate, if a little slow on the fps side of things.

I'm now looking at a HK416, but it seems that it will be a joint Christmas present typa thing..

Cool, I got mine today aswell. A Thompson M1A1. Its old fashioned, but it still has a good fps and looks very realistic. wgcshop.com throw in a free hat with your order. :) Seals the deal. Looking for a good pistol now.

    So far ive got:
a HFC Double 9, spring powered, about 120fps

a Tokyo Marui Heckler & Koch .40 USP, also spring powered, which is about 160fps

above two are basically cheap spring bbguns, good for messing about the house

a Daisy PowerLine 93 co2 pistol, this is quite a nice little pistol, shoots 4.5mm steel bb's, so not really an airsoft pistol

and just ordered this CYMA mp5 AEG today, around 280fps, my first proper airsoft gun i guess you could say, it's very much at the lower end of the aeg range, but im still a student at the moment and wont be able to afford anything decent until next summer, then ill probably start going to skirmishes and such.

Thats a feckin' nice one Strawbs! I'm jealous

Is that a single shot, ie you have to cock it after every shot?? What price did you pay for that? Whats the quality like, is it ABS or Metal....is the wood real?

Sorry 'bout all the questions, I'd love one of them, especially a Thompson, still cant believe that you can just buy these things on the net and have them posted to you, me needs to save some money :D

heres a crappy picture from my phone of most of my bits and peices.

Theres the Tokyo Marui spas-12 at the top, a maruzen full auto gbb MP5K, and a Tokyo Marui MP5A5 AEG at the bottom. I also have two springers, a toyko marui Beretta m92F and a no brand hk USP pistol which is a bit f**ked....

The spas 12 is great crack, it has three barrells all of which fire in unison when you pull the trigger, you really know all about it if you get all three barrells in the back!

The maruzen MP5K is out of action at the moment because the mag is leaking gas but its great crack when it works, it makes an excellent sound and has a serious recoil off it. It tends to jam a lot though which is a pain in the ass.
Dont use any other gas other than 134a in you gas guns, it will f**k them up, guaranteed. I learned the hard way... I wouldnt bother buying a gas one ever again, pistol or smg, the electric ones are far more reliable and less hassle. The mags are much cheaper and lighter for the electric ones as well. The gas ones can be very temperamental, especially in cold weather, they loose power the colder the mag gets, not worth the hassle as far as im concerned.

The Tokyo Marui mp5a5 is the best of the lot, unbelivable rate of fire, good accuracy and great fun to shoot. I have one standard mag, a mid cap mag and two 250 hi caps for it, i need to get a few more mags as it really flies through them in seconds...
Id reccomend the mid cap ones that hold 150 or somehting like that as you dont have to wind them and they dont rattle like the hi caps. Im planning to get a laser fore grip for it in the near future although im not convinced about how accurate they are yet.....

:D No, its fully automatic, but you can switch it to semi-automatic aswell. It was like $276 which is like 216 Euro, its worth it though. Got it from http://www.wgcshop.com
Its good quality, sure its made by TM. And its all Metal except for the stock which is plastic wood. You can get real wood stocks for it though. I think they are taking them of the market soon enough, not sure though. Mightnt be for ages. Anyway, good luck man, If you have any more questions just ask.

Cheers Strawbs, be careful with that thing! :D

I'd love one like that, or preferably a nice sniper rifle (bolt action, spring powered) to punch holes in paper in the garden. Just looking through that site you recommended, they have a few nice ones on there, getting a decent one under the 1 Joule/328fps limit aint easy though.

Did you have any problem with customs or the likes with your piece, or was it a simple, hassle free buy?

    Cheers.

Ya, i was going to get a bolt action sniper rifle but i got that instead. No, no problems from customs, a lot of other peoples guns got in fine too, so you should be alright if you order something.

I only have my Beretta M9A1 at the moment. I want to get a full metal M4A1 but cant seem to find one that shoots under 328fps. All the Classic Army M15A4s that I was looking at are too powerful. Does anyone know of an M4 thats under 328fps?

lol all i could find were Full metal M4A1's that were too weak, 260fps and there abouts :p
I'll find the site for you and post it here...

    EDITED:
This site has a few full metal M4A1's and most (if not all) are under the 1 joule limit. As for international shipping, their FAQ's say "We can ship to anywhere in the world".

Damn, putting a USMC loadout is expensive. But hopefully it'll be worth it.
