Need some opinions here. Is a monthly payment of €200 reasonable for being on-call out of business hours (Monday to Friday 5:30pm till 9:00am, Saturday and Sunday 24 hours)?

€200 for just being available is money for nothing.
Just be sure that you negotiate a decent rate for when you get called.

    Edit:
Just copped that the Sat & Sun is 24 hours.
Would you be required to travel to a site over this period (ie, no boozing if driving all weekend!?)?
    Is the on-call period a week-on/week-off?

Yep, no boozing, no leaving the greater Dublin area without giving 10 days notice. On top of the €200 per month they pay for calls aswell and going onsite if there is a call or requirement to visit.

If that is the case mein kleiner Ausländer - I would suggest that the wanton annihilation of your social life (should you have one) & is worth more than that.

TBH - My freedom at weekends especially could not be purchased for a measly €200 per month. Not if it were every weekend. I'd be asking for an extra day's rate per weekend PLUS charge per call out.

Are you on call one week a month? Or all month? Does it rotate?

If its all month, why on earth would you do that?

My place pays about 300 a month (for one week in the month) of being on call, being called pays €40, then its time and a half for attending the call, remotely or onsite.

I was just going to say 200 bills a month isn't very good. I get 200 a week for mid week and if required at weekends its 200 per day. 60 for the first call disturbance fee and 30 per call there after.

Granted this is on the upper end of the scale as far as oncall goes!

200e per week stand by and 200e an hour call per call out depending on what you do exactly.

    What's your job?

I get nothing extra for being on call. In a previous job, I got E525 for working a weekend. Thats 3pm-11pm.

we get about 60e a day for on call (same hours as OP) and get time and a half or double time for all hours worked
