Why would (mostly) Irish people care about gigs that are 5,000 miles away?

If you want to discuss the prospects of a new album, then why not do so over on Rock/Metal?

Posting before here I met a guy who lived in Boston/New York and had attended 3 of the 4 nights of GNR there so it does happen that Irish Americans frequent this board, and as well as that, people swore Axl wouldnt tour the US after Europe...and yet here we are, the dates arriving as promised

Well we'll see if they engage in this discussion. I just think the direction of this thread is more suited to Rock/Metal, as I presume you won't be attending any of these shows, Motley?

Nobody swore anything about him not touring America. Nobody doubted it was always Axl's intentions to play American after Europe. People were skeptical whether promoters would take them on after the 2002 debacle. But a successful European tour has convinced them.

The website was updated recently which is a good sign. Good to see the webmaster remembered the password after all this time.:D Axl's also presenting an award at the VMA's which people are speculating will lead to him announcing a release date. But that's just rediculous. He's just trying to get his name back in the spotlight.

I put it at 50% chance of the album coming out this year. This is his last chance though. No excuses. If it doesn't come out this year its never coming out.
