AE.com American Eagle website - credit card verification problem

I placed an order on ae.com last week. I got an email saying they were unable to get credit card verification from my credit card company so they couldnt process the order. I order from the states all the time and there was more than enough credit on my card. Any idea what could be causing this?

Did your shipping address match exactly the way your credit card billing address is? Some places are very picky aout that sort of thing.
