    i have a sim free phone i tried to send a message with a ringtone that i made myself in mp3 form its only short so its not to big but it says not allowed to send this sound im guessing this is to stop illegal sharing would i be right

    Your sim free phone may not have proper MMS settings for your network.
    What you need to do is check the settings. If you are unable to check them yourself, post the phone make and model and someone here will give instructions.

    There shouldn't be a problem sending small sound files over MMS

    its a se w810i on vodafone i can send mms messages ok just when i try to add sound file it wont add it adds pics and stuff fine even se backround picks

    in the settings creation mode was set to limited i changed it to unlimited
