Cleared my cookies and all the usual stuff but you can still see what I've been searching for in my Google toolbar! How do I get rid of this?

    Which browser are you using?

Most have a clear saved forms section in the options menu.

Have you tried right clicking the field and selected "clear Search History" or similar?

Alot of this tends to be browser dependent but have a look at the following link to see how it is done

    www.googletutor.com

Usually if i rem correct the searchhes are stored in form's and these need to be cleared

    Regards
    Tommy

If it is the text area on the web page that highlights the previous entries as you type then you can mouse over one, and it goes blue, then press DELETE and shazam ... tis gone.

You the drop-down menu that appears when you enter a letter?

    If your using Firefox -
Click Tools, then Options, then Privacy, the click the Saved Forms tab and you can clear saved form data, and choose if you want to continue saving form entries!
If your using a different browser, PM me and i'll help you out...

What were you searching that your in such a panic to delete? :D

Thanks Tommy, used the Google tutor and got rid of my searches! Haven't been too naughty but still don't want my workmates looking over my shoulder when I'm searching!

CCleaner will also do a fine job.

You can disable this option in Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab and deselect "Use Inline AutoComplete".
