Best agency for part-time / temp jobs

I am taking some time out at the moment and am thinking of changing careers.

I am looking for part-time or temporary office work to tide me over in the short term.

I have very little experience of recruitment agencies, and this is the first time I have been looking for casual work rather than something long term.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend the recruitment agencies they have had reasonably good experiences with when seeking this type of work? Maybe I should be asking if there are any decent agencies instead! :)

    Thanks in advance. :)

I currently work for La Creme here in Cork, but they also have offices in Dublin. My experience of them as a temperorary employer has been overall quite positive. Just remember to keep calling/emailing the girls on the temp desk and remind them that you're looking for work.

Thanks for the info dudara. I've to go in for an interview and some tests for them shortly (I'm in Dublin). I've no experience but figures crossed that I'll pass!

The tests are just typing and Office tests. Straighforward.

    Hey Prufrock,

I did temping for about a year a while back and was with 2 agencies in Dublin. La Creme, Pembroke Street, Mary B Cremin, Fitzwilliam Place.

Those 2 agencies always had work for me. I was never out of work with them.

Some days I would finish up a job at lunch time and after lunch be starting in a new assignment in another company. It was great experience. I gained lots of insight into lots of different types of companies and industries.

The other smaller agencies are no good, I joined them too and they would ring me like a month later for a day here or a day there, and of course I'd already be working with one of the 2 agencies above.

Well best of luck with the typing tests and all that.
