the recent ads on Irish tv are pretty hard hitting, particularly the one featuring the sunday footballer who crashes into a back garden ... and there have been any number of 'speed kills / slow down' campaigns ... still this one really makes you think:(

wasn't there a campaign on irish tv maybe two/three years ago, about schoolkids drinking, showing a young girl out of her face with drink at a party, who was later shunned and mocked in school by d'Cool Kids ? there may have been a second ad in the same vein, showing a young lad wetting himself and falling over furniture ... again showing teenage drinkers as uncool

    wonder how effective was that?

maybe the Yanks are right, campaigns for underage drinking should also be aimed at the parents

i'd really hate for my kids to start drinking at the same age as me ... (13 and not proud of it, paid the price in many ways)

"It's all my parents fault! wah! wah!"
What a rather limited view of alcoholism that ad. portrays. Take responsibility for your own actions, ffs. Bah! I've been driven to drink now.

That Irish ad. wasn't that long ago was it?
