    Hey all,

This is the first time this computer has been on the net for a few months so that might have something to do with these problems. Both firefox and opera report "connect to the master server", this message also appears in HL2 deathmatch when i want to join an online game.

However the major problem is IE been unable to play flash or videos. A pop up at the top of the page says "Internet explorer has blocked this site from using an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner. As a result, this page might not display correctly". It does not give me the option to allow it. My windows firewall is off but windows security center says at least one firewall is on, even tho norton and ad-aware are disabled. I downloaded macromedia flash but to no avail.

Another intersting thing is that when i enter gmail's url in the address bar, it goes to msn search page saying it cannot find it. I searched it on google and clicked the link, but it couldn't find it either! My mate (on the same connection with a different computer) has no problems finding it.

I know that's alot of info that might not be related, but i thought it'd be best to tell ya.

    All help is greatly appreciated

I had problems with a friends computer that had Norton Security, caused all sorts of problems. Chucked it and put on Sygate Personal Firewall and have Anti-Vir also, problem solved.
