pdf creator: converting word to pdf

My pdf creator will no longer convert a word doc into pdf for me. INstead, it is sent to the printer. Can't figure out what the problem is, have checked th settings, but obv i'm missing sth.

what software are you using, I know with adobe etc, you can create a pdf by sending it to the pdf printer (isnt really a printer at all) try to print it but check your list of printers and see if the pdf printer is selected when you print to this it shoud as you for a location to save it rather than actually printing it.
