I know its hard to believe but if you register with vodafone,you will be able to get 20 euro free credit to call or text any vodafone number between now and january 2007,but you have to put in 20 euro every month...Dont forget you have to register first... good luck, let me know if it works for you.

It works. Top up with 20euro, get 20euro extra that can be used vodafone to vodafone only.

Just text- Free Calls and Texts to 50222. It's that simple. The free credit is only for use with calling/texting 087 numbers. Buy 20 get another 20 free.

I've heard it works alright, Few people I know of done it. I went and bought 20euro the other night, But it just topped up by 20. So then I see this thread, I texted Free calls and Free texts to 50222 and I got a message back saying " I am now signed up for free calls & texts to 087 numbers. Top up by 20 Euro now to recieve you're 20euro credit " Does that mean I don't get it now ??? Also, does it show up in my credit that I have 40 or does it stay as 20 euro?

You will probably be stuck with €20 as you signed up after you topped up, not 100% sure though, thats what I would assume.

Well that is stupid, as the original reason why I bought the 20e Credit was to recieve the 20e free. That was several days ago after seeing an advertisment. I then said to my self, If I dont receive anything, I'll give vodafone a quick call " They aren't getting away with this " But did I ? Nope... I'll see if anybody can tell me anyway does the 20euro appear in you're balance or are you sent a message saying you have 20euro free credit. Ach.. I dunno.

yeah u get a message and u have to send 'bal' to 50233 to get your balance (thats a free txt btw)

This is needlessly complicated. The extra 20eur does not appear on your balance. Which is why I was fuming during the week!! Until it was explained to me. I dont see why they couldnt just pop 40 into the account. I dont know what I being charged.

If they did that, people with only their €20 to 087 would be ringing up complaining they couldn't ring other numbers even though they have credit.
It doesn't seem to be working now though as I can't sign up.

It does seem a bit needlessly complicated. Meeteor have had a deal for ages where if you top up by 20 each month you get free calls/texts to other Meteor phones (with no 20 euro limit). Pity I don't know many people on Meteor

Eventually (ie. after 20 attempts) got it working via their website.

I use this offer too and its really good. Just so people know you can also check your vodafone-only credit by ringing 1741, press 1 at the prompt and then press 1 again. Hope this helps!

Are you saying that it is unlimited free calls/texts to other meteor phones?

There was, it was limited. Then they introduced a free texts or 5c calls until 2008 scheme, then closed it, then opened it again, then extended it... I think it's still running.

It is still running, I have infinite free texts to other meteor phones. I got most friends to change over.
I don't know what I would do without the free texts now. My brothers chose 5c calls, which is better for you depends on how you use your phone.
The message counter on my phone is now embarrassingly high...


Vodaphone's one seems a lame alternative, better than nothing though!

FYI if you dial *174# on your phone it gives you your Credit balance.
If you make a speed dial for it like I have say number 4,all you have to do is hold down button for 2 seconds,then your balance is diplayed!

I think it's a bloody great offer. Most of my family/frie4nds are with Vodafone which makes it worthwhile to sign up for this deal. I have been using it with no problems.

To answer one of the previous posters question - they can't just add another 20 euro to your credit because then you could use it to dial non-vodafone numbers...
