Do you have to be a Hibernian customer to take Ignition? Are there any alternatives? Even just to be a better driver, it doesn't have to be for cheaper insurance?

Unless you're specifically going for Hibernian insurance, you'd be as well to get proper driving lessons from a reputable instructor or school (assuming you're on a provisional currently).

Ignition is a driving course and assessment in association with the Iistitute of Advanced Motorists. It is not to be confused with an Advanced Driving Test.

A search dragged this up. There might be a few more threads buried in there.

There is the Institute of Advanced Motorists exam that can be done or the ROSPA exams (Royal Society Prrevention of Accidents !?!).

I did a few advanced driving lessons with Temple school of motoring (http://www.drivewithtemple.com) in Clontarf and 2 of their instructors have gotten gold medals in the ROSPA exams and I'd highly recommend them (Try and get Donald if you can).
