Google Desktop - high download traffic?

    I just installed Google Desktop. I really like the "press CTRL twice and search any time" feature, but I've noticed that since installing it, there is a lot of unusual traffice on my connection. It will occiasionally download at between 70-150k/s for a minute or two and then stop, but it will happen again later.

    What can it possibly be downloading? I've turned the news and photos things off and its not telling me anything I don't know.

    Any ideas?
