Internet Explorer v.7, Memory Hog

    Has anybody else noticed that 3 internet explorer v.7 windows can take anything from 100-300mb of RAM. Its freezing my computer...

    Am I dreaming, am I infected, whats goin on?

    Its still in the beta stages is it not? Probably part of the reason why. No harm in running an anti-spyware and viruscan.

    I have just removed viruses, they ae all in the registry sector and marked as "not serious". 300mb of RAM is a lot for me, i only have 512mb.

    Even for a Beta is an awful lot of RAM, especially when I am trying to use Fireworks/Dreamweaver as well. That just annoys me: "Virtual memory Too Low"

    As for now, i am using Firefox/Avant
    (Menu in Boards.ie doesn't work greaton Avant)

    Scan in safe mode also to make sure the viruses are gone, any idea what type they were?

    edit: what anti said, you should get some more RAM if possible at all. Windows XP will take all it can get. :(

    upgrade to 1gb+

    This will not solve ie 7. being a complete ****. but it will halp you out as DW is a complete system hog
