    I'm just trying to gague interest here.

    I received my second ever scam email. You know the type.

    "I have a hundred million thousand dollars, and I need you to help me, my father was rich, and the money is in safe keeping, blah blah blah".

    I replied from a newly set up Hotmail account saying I was willing to help, and received another mail back saying thanks, I can have 25% of the proceeds, blah blah blah.

    I was wondering if anyone would be willing to go the whole hog on this with me, in a similar vein to that 419 scam site, I can't remember the URL.

    Is anyone up for the craic?

    I've done this. Only got three or four emails into the correspondance before an email bounced and I never heard from them again.

    My scammer prayed over a list of names and God revealed mine to him. Funnily enough he couldn't tell me what my name actually was.

    I'll give you a dig out if it comes to it Sean. I've been at this on and off for a couple of years now. PM me with the progress report if you like. The first few mails will be scripted at their end, just let it flow and don't ring any alarm bells too early. Also, don't be discouraged if you don't get a bite, first time out. There is no shortage of fuckwits out there for baiters have some fun with and waste their internet time and resources into the bargain.

    I'm sure you set up your new hotmail account with untraceable details?

    A slight parting of the ways has occured between the owner of 419eater and the Anus guy, as we'll call him. The anus baits, and there are many now, are on www.thescambaiter.com, which is a much more laid back and free flowing community, although not as popular as the original.

    Do a search for "theFailure" and hilarity will ensue...

    Yes, every now and then I get one from an African country. Not sure why only from there. Nigeria comes to mind on more than one occasion, but would suspect that there are people from around the world doing this, too. I just report them as spam with a click.
