    1) talk to a carear guidance

    2) with the strength and determination you have you will have no problem achieving your goals just research on companies of intrest, and use the experience you have ie: sales you could use in customer services etc,.. and get your foot in the door, next is to shine and to really put your heart and sole into your work and show them how intrested you are, and you will naturally progress within the company.

you d be suprised what someone will notice. there is different skills that you have used for any of the jobs you've had. there will be positives in there. Just gather the information together and pull together a good cv,pointing out the positive aspects which would be relevant to the role your looking for, and you ll have no problem :)

I do have a cv but i think its a bit to robotic . would i use the point of my other jobs as a covering letter say well i worked and provided this skill here and a lot of responcability for that perticular job ...

thansk for your advise once again :)

Not really, your cover letter should only be a page long where by you sumerise aspects that are relevant to the position you are applying for. Hit on key areas that will grab there attention, further information is found on your cv.
If you feel your cv is a bit robotic, go through it again and change it, spend some time on it. Its whats going to grab the employers eye and keep the attention until they meet you to discuss fully. where by at that stage you can develop on all the points and really show your intrest and shine that they will in turn offer you a potential position

Recommend that you post under Biz and work/jobs forum. You might find more posters qualified to assist you in your job search? Perhaps even a potential employer?

There is also a plethora of forums dealing with education under the Edu category and a new forum created not long ago located here for Mature/Non-Traditional Students. They will be more than happy to help you out with whatever you wish. Best of luck in the future, I'm quite sure you will do well if you put in the work. :)

I think talking to a career guidance officer is a great idea.
and make alist of what you have done.
You might find that you have a great set of skills that you didnt realise you had..someone who is knowledgeable will show you how to present it.

We have development courses at work and the guys running the show always talk about the housewife who got teh managerial job cos she was able to show all the different skills in management were applied by her in the running of a house.

Also sit donw and work out excatly what you Want to do! and you can see where those skills fit in

    Dub Ster,

You might want to consider supermarkets and other retail organisations - from what I have heard from other friends, they seem to have specific management courses that will allow someone to progress up the career ladder quicker than other businesses.

Before I get flamed out of it - I mean this with the best intentions. Have someone proof read your covering letter and CV before you send it out. Please don't think this is meant to get at your spelling, but it's all about first impressions.
