Munster have signed young Aussie openside Tim McGann. McGann (23) was wanted by the NSW Warahtahs but choose munster instead. He is currently playing rugby league.

    Dunno if he's Irish qualified.

Quick peruse of the interweb, seems to be very higly regarded in both League and Union. Former Aussie Schoolboy player, sounds like a classic openside...

Heard this the other day alright. Some head scratching - didnt they just sell and flanker and a 2nd row and now they buy replacements. All up for off loading players that arent bein used but buy players and not use them?

Rumours as well the Mauger from NZ would some day like to play for Munster! How f*cking sweet would that be.

Mauger has a serious rugby brain, he isn't the fastest or most exciting of players but he can get a backline moving, I was watching the NZ/AUS match last weekend and it seemed to be a lot more static than when he plays.
Munster could really do with a centre like him, especially as Halstead is retiring.

He's the best 12 in the world IMO! What a signing that would be.

Not only his option taking but he's also faster than he looks. He's also a great passer and kicker!

    You know what i mean!

McGann is the captain of Eastern Suburbs in sydney, thats union. He is the star of the team. They go to the cup semis this year.

One of the reasons he turned down the waratahs move is cause the 'tahs back line is practicly the the wallaby back-line, there would be very few playing opportunities. There is no celtic-league style competition over here.
