    Hi

A friend is having problems with his pc - somehow in an attempt to remove a virus he has deleted his win.ini file. When he loads up his pc he gets the following error:
Cannot find windows (setup) .ini file - you need to reinstall win.ini set up. Press any key to continue.

However when he presses any key the pc shuts down.

Any idea how to fix this. The pc is old with only windows 98 and I dont think he has the original software disc for it

    Cheers

Maybe he deleted the files manually. So they where all still in the bin. He went into
the bin and see the .ini file and hit the restore button.
