Hand from a live cash game 2 weeks ago, wondering what other players in this position would do. 1/2 pot limit. Mixed table, most hands pre flop getting small raises from LAG & TAG players in late position.

I'm UTG with KK, stack €300. I limp, everyone calls to the button (approx €500) who raises (pot) to 20.

    SB, BB fold. Pot - 35, i re-raiseto 70 (pot 103). Folds to button who re-raises 240 (pot 320).

Button is a real solid player who i know, and have only ever seen him do this with a monster. He would also know that i would only be limp re-raising him in this position with a top hand.

    what to do???

There's no real way your folding here, if he has aces then pay the man.

What monsters have you seen him doing this with?

It doesnt sound like this could be QQ. I think I would fold. If the button was a good (actually good not just tight) player I would go broke here as his reraise with AA is awful

    Only with KK & AA

(What other monsters are there pre-flop?)

I agree (and so did he later, as it wasnt some drunk guy just out of the night club), think he telegraphed his hand, especially when i know his game. I through him my cards to have a look. He showed me AA.

Saying that i still managed to ram AK up the ass of AA last night like a moron. Live and learn!!!

Why are you limp re raising?

Pot Limit, 1/2 the max i can raise to UTG is 7, which everyone will call anyway, i want a heads up in this situation as KK is liable to get outdrawn with multi action.

As there was regular raising in late position i'm almost sure there will be a raise which i can re-raise and therefore minimise the number of players taking part - eliminatng the chance of suited connectors, 2 pair etc dogging me on later streets. Thats my thinking on it.

If he only ever does this with aces or kings, then you should fold. There are six possible ways that he can have AA, and only one possible way that he can have KK. If he can make this move with QQ or AKs, then you should call.
