Macbook & Macbook Pro firmware update

    Saw this on Ars -- judging from comments, looks like MBs & MBPs got a firmware update that spins the fans more often, giving lower temps.

    I installed this on my MacBook and te fans are definitely getting more of a workout now. They don't make a whole lot of noise still, but not sure yet if the temp has decreased much (left side, under the keyboard, near the screen gets very hot when pushing the machine).

    Yes! I've definitely noticed a dramatic change in the temp of my MacBook. After about an hour or so of having it on my lap, I would notice how hot it is. Since I got the update, I went 3 hours before noticing.
