Soooo about a year ago (there abouts) i was watching the then new season 4 of family guy. And in one of the episodes Brian pulls on a banana suit and starts singing "Peanut butter jelly time".

    My heart cracked slighly.

A couple of weeks later I see an episode of Drawn Together, within which Squirrel with Big balls shows up.

The cracks grew a bit more.

Then a couple of months ago I went to see X-Men 3...And at a specific point Juggernaut states very firmly "Do you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut bitch"

I'm pretty sure it all fell apart about then.

I like the internet, its jokes and its various little groups and communities. But a large part of the appeal dies when chunks of it are lifted out and moved into other media. The three above examples:

    1.http://www.ebaumsworld.com/flash/peanutbutter.html

    2.http://www.scarysquirrel.org/special/balsac/index2.html

    3.http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=15862

Drawn together isnt so bad, cause they tried to write thier own plotline around it.

But Family Guy and X men 3...

    1. Its cheap and lazy, why are we paying for writers just to life things of the internet and put it in their own work.
    2. It isnt funny when its taken away from the internet. Most obvious proof of this. The Crazy Frog, it was worth a chuckle when someone sent you one of the original links (crazy test etc) but when it was moved to the tv it was pure pain.

To put it simple the internet has gotten too big and far too much of it is seeping into other media, killing both, the original jokes are not as funny and tv and film just become worse.

And before someone points out Snakes on A Plane...thats different...sort of. That was a Film idea pitched and the internet response has been *We love it, see how much we love it* the only bit resembling the above griefs in SOAP is that they added a new line for Mr Samuel Jackson to say, and to be fair, its something only film can do, cause Mr Jackson is in film.

I want it to go back to like this:
