We all know the dangers of a wired internet connection during a thunderstorm but I am wondering does this also apply for wireless internet?
    Thanks!

An electrical surge will only travel along a wired connection, so a computer connected wirelessly will be safe. Any wireless router or adapter that is connected to a phone line will still be at risk, however.
