Early reviews are saying its amazing !! I CAN NOT WAIT for this movie BUT i was really let down by sin city . Is there anyone else who read the books and found the sin city movie kind of looked like a telly play ? I was soo looking forward to it but even after getting it again on DVD im really let down by it .Even with Mickey rourke playing a brilliant Marve the film to me just didn't work ,I know there's millions that disagree but I feel much happier that this director is going to adapt millers work better then that HACK rodriguez .

I'd never even heard of Sin City before the movie arrived and I thought it was excellent. I don't know if this is one of those usual "The only people truly disappointed were the ones that read the book/graphic novel", but as I said, I enjoyed it from start to finish and I think generally most people did, prior fan or not.

Can't wait for Snyders "300" though...not out till March or thereabouts though I think, Sin City 2 is not out until Autumn next year...

Ya i know what you mean it makes me look like a fan boy geek ! I read the books a few years back and the way they look and feel was allways what i liked the most and it just wasent rite for me its . You see in the book hartigan walking into a barn is like a huge two page spread and it just looks beutiful but in the movie its just a guy walking into a barn and the whole thing looks like a studio shot on digital . Jesica Alba came close to making me walk out aswell but i enjoyed nearly every other performance except clive owen as dwight

I'm a huge Frank Miller fan and I thought Sin City was excellent. As close to a perfect graphic novel to movie transition that people can hope for imo.

I.M.O it should have looked like the Maltese Falcon and felt like Brick . Also some of the scenes just DID NOT NEED cgi backgrounds rodriguez's obsession with doing things on the cheap realy annoys me , i mean when hartigan has an attack in the alley after attacking the two guys with a pipe the background looks so fake its like somthing out of the phantom menace !!! Im not dogging the film im just saying i was expecting more. I though i was getting a faithfull adaption of the books and from a story point of view it was perfect i just would have liked to see more from the director then just setting up the shots as they were in the book and shooting it on black and white in digital ..Tarintino,s scene was a good display of how to do it rite ! It wasent exactly the same as in the book but the way it was shot added to the mood and athmosphere and THAT was what the books were all about for me .

Can't see how any Sin City fan could be disappointed with the film! It was a frame-by-frame adaption. Truly excellent imo.
Also looking forward to 300. I'm not one for these epic-types like Troy, Alexander, Kingdom of Heaven etc but I think this could be really good. I've been looking forward to Zack Snyder's next outing after the Dawn remake.

Oh yeah, I heard about this and then forgot about it, looks awesome "Sin City meets Gladiator". And David "Faramir" Wenham is in it! :D

I read on the official site the teaser trailer should be out this month, and there's a few production video journals.
