SKY+ box dead, what to do

OK so my Sky+ box is dead, well it won't let me record anything and I have tried a new harddrive but its still the same.

So my question is should I just get a new SKY+ box from sky for €108 or should I go for a HD box for €360 from Satellite.ie.

I don't have a HD TV yet but will do by the new year, so I'm thinking go the extra mile and get the HD box now. However do people reckon these HD boxes will drop dramatically in price come the new year?

Opinions appreciated.

Well in the past most sky products have dropped in time, the original digibox was 399 punts when it first came out but as we are coming into the busiest time of the year they may not drop until after Christmas at least.

Cheers for the reply, is €360 the best price I will get for HD box, also do satellite .ie let you collect in dublin, could really do with a new box before the weekend.

I cant comment on best price as i work for satellite.ie but I'd be interested if you can get cheaper. I'm sorry collection is not available for various reasons i wont go into here.
