Hansen is a lucky bollox but he played it well, i love the check on the river. Neither of them can be faulted really. Only I wouldnt be so loose preflop just cuz i cant manuevre like them postflop!

It just goes to show that even when u put ur opponent on a hand that beats, its still hard to stop u throwing ur money in the centre!

Ouchies. Brutally unlucky for Kidpoker. Can't understand the check on the river either but both players played it really well up to that point.

Once Gus moves in there is it as hard to get away from as Daniel suggests?

I actually don't think the check is that bad of a play.

He leads out on the turn which daniel flat calls a scare card comes for most possible hands he could have, he wouldn't fire again on that river with a bluff if he had a 5 in his hand he might check that turn also it also looks like if he was trying to steal the pot on the turn he was giving up now.

I like it. plus it's against Daniel with the amount of money in the pot daniel's going to have a go at it.

I thought the check on the river was a fabulous play, if DN can't beat a straight then Gus isn't gonna get paid, if he can then Gus will get an opportunity to reraise.

Facing a raise and a re-raise oop it wasn't that difficult.

What about the flop check-raise, does that not suck?

With the action that took place, all Negreanu can beat on the river is a bluff. There's no way Gus is pushing with a straight or a lone 5.

Also Hanson was down over 100k and he had lost nearly every hand he played previous.

The check on the river only makes sense for 2 reasons, 1 if Daniel is bluffing and wont call anything, or 2 if Daniel has a good hand that would call one value bet on the river but wouldnt raise, and this hand needs to be happy to call a check raise. I cant actually think of any hands like that, all the full houses will probably push all in to a lead, and a straight is unlikely to call the chk raise. An overpair will chk behind and certainly wont bet having been chk raised. So it only makes sense if Daniel is bluffing, and he reraised preflop, bet the flop and called a chk raise and a lead on the turn so I cant see him having nothing here. His most likely hand is an overpair or FH, and against this range checking the river is bad.

If daniel has an overpair he might call a bet, but hes not going to bet himself

I don't like the check on the river particularly. The only reason I could see to check there is if he thinks Daniel is on a stone cold bluff and will fire again on the river, but it doesn't really look like that at all by the way DN has played it. Otherwise he's only getting paid off if DN has one very few hands, 99 or 66. He's not betting a straight there or an overpair. But if Gus bets it he's getting paid off by a much wider range of hands than he is if he checks it. As it turns out DN had a hand that he had to bet, but that mightn't have been the case.

I should have explained why i liked the check on the river. I like it cuz i would never do it! Checking the nuts on the river is madness most of the time if you ask me. Hansen got it to work and fair play to him, all the money went in. a bet could have easily been raised the daniel. Its entertainging :D

I would prefer a push on the river, cos there is no way negreanu is bluffing. Hansen knows he has a big hand, but his check-raise on the river had negreanu contemplating folding a house, which is not good.
