Where the best place to buy a helmet? Down in the sunny south east the bike shops dont have a great range?

    Cheers

If you can make it north of the border you could save a good few Euro. Helmets in the "UK" aren't taxed like in the Free State. So you could save 20% if you buy up there.

I bought one in Crossans in Newry 2 weeks ago and I was very happy with the service, so much so I'm going back on Saturday morning.

Id give cotters a bell, I picked up an Aria Astro Race there for 325, I'll bet you couldnt find cheaper on the web. I spoke to a guy just after I bought mine and he was happy because he paid just over £300 stg for the same helmet, then he heard what I paid :-)

Do James' in Gorey not have anything to suit you - they usually have a great selection?

I've been to james' in gorey twice looking for parts for a bike and found their service ****e. Saying that, the brother bought a cbr from them and thinks they are brilliant, he's a big guy and they ordered gear for him etc and he was very happy with their service, but i'm stubborn and not going back.... for the moment.

I've searched for Cotters on google, came up with someone selling fuchsia's in cork, have you got a number / web address?

Crossons would be a good excuse to get away!!

    Thanks for the feed back.
    Mick.
p.s. - are any of you going on the wexford motorcyce centre charity bike run on Sunday or are you all Dublin based?

I got a helmet from this crowd before. They are cheap for some helmets. Only cost me around €7 for delivery.
If you know what size you want, it might be worth lookin at.

I buy my stuff from McNultys in Enniskillen. They've a decent selection and if you buy a few things, they'll knock a few quid off. Nice guys in the shop too. If it's not too busy, they'll chat for ages.
