    Anyone else see this?
Joe Stack was in the middle of reading the sports news when the lights went out in the studio. He kind of hesitated a sec then ploughed on (obviously still able to read the autocue) regardless of the latest RTE feck up.
They then cut to the (pre recorded) weather while someone doing a voiceover apologised for the mess up. After the weather they returned to the news where Anthony Murnane had to apologise again and then finished the news. He was obviously p***ed off at this but sure what could he do.

    Hilarious altogether:D :D

Also the headline sequence at the start of the bulletin started late, stopped, froze on a picture of the Crumlin Hospital and Anthony Murnane had finished reading the headlines before they started the whole thing all over again, this time with no sound except the headline bed.

Could that have been the last broadcast from that studio, or the last RTE News in 4:3? It would explain all the mistekes in the bulletin.

No, it was just a major feck up. They are moving into the new set on monday, so no, that wasn't the cause of it. The cause of it was probaly because they are in a temp set, not the old one.

Seamus, did you find that out from RTE? Or are you just presuming that it will be next monday? I hope you're right :D
