Add shortcuts to the applications or folders to the the startup folder.

Put a copy of the exe and a shortcut to the music folder into the startup folder. U can find the startup folder by double clicking startup in the programs menu.

Make a shortcut to whatever program(s) and put it into the "startup" folder in the start menu - right click on the start button and go to "Explore", then Programs -> Startup.

Don't copy the EXE, kc66! That won't work!

It says a copy of the exe... a shortcut

Very, very much not the same things...

If you go to the exe, then right click, copy. Go to the startup folder and paste it. What do you get? A shortcut!
Looks like the same thing to me.
That is if you copy it from the programs menu. This is where we are getting the wires crossed.

I wasn't aware of that, and its probably a special action of the Startup folder. Now copy and paste your file somewhere else. What do you get? Not a shortcut? Copies and shortcuts, not the same thing, QED.

Yeah shortcuts are akin to 'links' to the programs, whereas a copy of an .exe would literally be another copy of said .exe, like a clone.

Then you're copying a shortcut, not the exe, very different. Anyway, I just tried to copy an actual exe into the startup folder and it said access denied. Seems there is some protection to stop you doing that.
