Villain is loose (not terrible from the little ive seen). Im not sure how loose. We have played no hands together. My image should be pretty bad, ive just been bluffing and getting called a lot.

I raise utg with 66. Villain calls from the BB. The flop is 223 2 hearts. 80 in the pot. Villain leads for 150! He has 950 and I cover.

I really think I have the best hand here, but im not 100% sure. Whats my plan?I really have no clue what he has, so I dont like calling given that im bound to face overcards. With TT or JJ calling would be much easier.

I made it 300 more and he pushed. Call or Fold?

    His range destroys yours. Fold.
I often just fold to the first bet.

Does this happen often? I hope not. Nice if you have AA though

Does what happen often ? Me folding an overpair to a 2x pot bet? Or a guy making such a bet?

Fold methinks. Your only beating a complete bluff and even still he has outs. two overs with hearts and your 50/50. He could easily have a pair himself which is a bit better than yours.

    I hate overbets

A guy calling a raise oop and then firing out a 2* pot bet

no, it doesnt happen often. I try real hard to find out (by watching other dudes call him down) what he has when he does this.

For all you know he has the slowplay AA disease. This is a rather good flop for AA.

Just fold to the first bet. Give him credit for a hand this time and wait for a better spot after you know something more about his play.

FWIW i think you called and he has 45h. The turn and river comes with running deuces and you win a monster pot with 6 high.

im with fuzz on this,a 2xpot lead would make me fold 66 here.
you often get weak prob kinda leads which are less than the pot(half pot or even less) which you can raise or call depending but a 2xpot raise here would make me sh1t my self .

I don't know what I would have done in your situation but I think his range of hands were pretty clear based on his flat call pre flop and his lead off the flop. It had to be one of either pocket pair 2's - Q's, or A-X suited, X= 2-4. When I read it first I put him on pocket 4's, but now that I think clearer, it's unlikely he had a pp ( or else he was playing a small pair poorly). I understand your fold and think it was just about the right decision, but am curious to know what you will do in the same spot again? I might push a bit harder with the sixes pre-flop so that my move is clearer on the flop and I have a better handle on his hole cards.

I didnt fold (allthough I should have) and I raised my 6's to 4bb utg. Im not sure how stronger I can play them preflop bar open pushing.

i'm sure this isn't going to be popular, but i'd consider calling on the flop

i think its either a call or fold situation,i don't see any benefit to raising unless you're happy to call a push.

i'd probably fold more often that call, but i think calling is definitely an option.

i know you didnt want to have to deal with random overcards, but in all likelyhood he doesn't have QJ or whatever and if he hits some overcards that's just bad luck...

a raise here is just a bluff and he's already put a lot of money into the pot,so he will push a draw...

and i'd consider calling a push on the turn, but it depends, basically i'd call and see what happens,i'd expect him to slow down on the turn a huge percentage of the time, and if he doesn't i'll see what he does,i'd probably fold to another bet but i might end up making a heroic call and regretting it...
