Whats the best place to get energy saving lightbulbs? The general price seems to be between €9 and €10 per bulb.

Is there anywhere that can do better than that?

I bought a good few downstairs in roaches stores ,
they had a 20% off sale , think I paid 5/6 euro for them.

Also bought some in Maplins , not sure on the price there.

Heatons are €4 each for the 18 or maybe 20W (equiv to 100W).

Tesco have a 3 pack of the 11W for €8.99 (equiv to 60W I think).

    I bought a 6 pack in B & Q for €18. It had 3 11W bulbs and 3 20W bulbs. They're working brilliantly for me.

How will we get everyone in Ireland to buy energy-saving bulbs?
I know, let's put on a recycling charge! And then charge VAT!

Is stupidity in government a prerequisite or just an advantage?

    TmB,
My local Dunnes Stores still has a fair few of those 2 for 1 philips ones. Mostly the 20w/100w BC bulbs. I'm sure if you look around you'll find them in a few shops.

tesco do packs of "value" energy savers. Not sure of the price but they were cheap

Bare in mind, the better one's like philip's are rated for longer hours while cheaper e.g "tesco value" have less hours.
