Party Poker Monster Tables

For the few of you, who like me don't think Party is the cancer of the poker world, the party poker monster tables have a lot of value at the moment.

The 1-2 NL tables have been playing a lot softer since the BB jackpot was introduced. Since Party points aren't worth a **** anyway I see no reason why you wouldn't play on the monster tables. I've foloowed some fish up to the monster 2-4 tables and done really well. If you are playing on a table of the same stakes when the bad beat gets won you get a ticket to the monster freeroll. The only other way to win one of these is through qualifiers and as far as I can gage they are worth about $490. I managed to win mine this morning when the BB was won. The payouts in teh freeroll are huge and since its going to be full of fish its well worth trying to get into it.

I see your whole post totally avoided the reason why ppl dont play on party monster tables.Fair enough you can win a freeroll ticket but you cant avoid the horrendous rake.

I'll continue playing on other sites earning RB before i play cash at party again. It's a shame because i enjoyed playing on party and even asked them for rakeback which they politely declined.

Unless you're running extremely well to cover the rake paid I think you can maximse your profits elsewhere Nicky

there are still non monster cash games running with normal rake but the standard is much higher in these than the BB tables.you can also qualify for the 100k freeroll on a $6 sng .you have to finish in the top 2000 to get into the next stage ( 1million tourney) and in the top 1000 in those to qualify for the big one next year which has a prize fund of 7.9 mill atm and climbing around a 100k a day.

yeah I agree with nicky the standard in the monster is a lot lower (or else my game has gone up a notch which I doubt :) ) I know the rake is considerable but the level of the games more than compensates imo

nicky just on the 100k weekly tournys how are you calculating the value of the ticket I have three already but no free saturdays at the moment , how many runners do they end up with on a saturday?

It feels like the level of play on the monster tables is lower, but I might just think so because I'm playing at different times than before. I do think the high rake is an issue however so I think I'll just play the regular tables in the future.

The tickets for the weekly freeroll is worth $40.You can nearly fold your way into the monthly freeroll in them.I played the first one and top 2000 out of 5500 got tickets.

the first 1 had 5600 ish runners (8000 is the max).easy enough to get into the last 2000.there was 1000 gone in the first hour.i have 3 more more tickets too as well as the ticket for the million.got mine winning $6 sngs so they are worth $60 or less as some of that $60 goes to the million and grand final games fund but these are also seeded by party which is where nicky might be getting his figures from.

The last $11 satelite I looked at had 132 runners and gave out 3 tickets so I guess if you take away the $1 reg on the satelite then the tickets are worth $440.
