Manhunter Special Edition DVD

Anyone here bought the 2 disc edition of Manhunter? The second disc contains the "remastered" edition of the film. When i played the second disc i found the picture to be very grainy and inferior to the first disc which has not been remastered. Has anyone else found this?

It's one of my fav films ever. Is this just out, thought its been out for ages? Are there any extra scenes , or interviewswith Mann/Peterson? Apparently Peterson was pretty ****ed up after playing the role, he got so into it. He went off on his own for a while and bleached his hair straight after i think. Dont suppose they talk about that?
