What does Deise mean?

Ive noticed a few users here have usernames that begin with the word Deise, Deisegirl, Deise_boi and one or two others, and saw the term in the paper the other day when I was readin some gah story about hurling iirc From google, it seems to be a reference to either Cork or Waterford people, like Scouser or Geordie for L`pool and Newcastle I guess.

During their formative years playing at the Valley there was a lack of facilities at the ground. They often used to use a local fishmonger/fish and chip shop as a place to get changed for games.
