Latency with Blueface over 6mb?

    Hi all,

I'm considering subscribing to NTL with their 6mb package. I'm also thinking of subscribing to Blueface. However, due to the nature of my work from home, I need to know what kind of latency (delay) I can expect. I can remember using Skype over Smart's 2mb service, and there was a noticable delay (to foreign numbers anyway). Should I expect something similar with Blueface + 6mb? Note that I will generally be calling Irish phone numbers.

    Thanks.

I use Blueface with NTL 6MB. My connection has been flakey lately but I have had no problems making phone calls.

I'm using the 6mb and Blueface also with no problems. It will be much better with hardware than a soft phone which you may have used with Skype.

Definitely agree with that, I use voipcheap for all my calls with a ZoomX5v ATA on a 1meg Eircom connection. Using an ATA gives call quality light years ahead of a softphone.
