Yes but only in one room, no multiroom and no Sky+, they require a line.

Or, just FTA channels or Just FTV channels or a 2nd, 3rd, etc full subscriptions.

Sky+ on its own can be got with no phone line, but not easily. One route is to buy it & install unsubsidized and apply for a subscription. Note Sky+ won't record BBC3, 4, ITV etc only channels on the EPG and only if you have a Sky+ sub. It becomes an ordinary Sky box if you have no sub.

My son had ordinary Sky installed yesterday and customer services said if landline is not active in 3/4 weeks they will disconnect and charge full price for box and installation. Me thinks its rubbish as I have had Sky and for the past two years Sky+ and its never ever been connect to the landline.

They went ahead and installed it, then said it would be off if no line was connected? LOL. Are you kidding?

And yes there is an option to install without phoneline (aka NPL Installation) which is €37.50 (or £25 in UK, as mentioned by dubmick). But this must be known when contract is being signed.

Sky has always since launch of Irishified version of Interactive insisted on a phone line as standard.
BUT (if not a multiroom mirror sub)
    * You always could pay more (Sky subsidize install ) and have no phone
    * After first year you could disconnect phone (not on mirror sub though).

So the fact that person X or bloke Y has never had a a phone is irrelevent.

At the begining the Interactive was only in UK so they were not too fussed at all even on full susbsidized install about phone.
