Paypal, ebay, Sales Tax

    Just won a bid on ebay and the winning bid is 5 euros and postage is 3.10. When paying with paypal the amount to pay comes to 13.75! Thats 5 for Goods and 3.10 for postage and 5.65 as Sales TAX! What is this supposed to mean? Sales tax is so expensive!?
    Its just a pack of 4 Mach 3 blades and would be cheaper buying locally!! :(

    Nope! Didn't pay! It's the sellers problem to inform about all this tax crap! So didn't pay and seller didn't mind! :) No feedback... This VAT and Sales tax ebay charges is getting out of hand! It's a real rip off! :mad:

    I have posted a thread elsewhere and asked every member to refuse to pay EBAY the Vat charged to sellers. This charge for VAT is illegal. I checked with the Revenue and they confirmed that the VAT is totally incorrect. Ebay issue invoices in Switzerland, although they are an American company, and they do not have an Irish VAT registration number. ! If you want to confirm this contact the Revenue at your local office.
