As the thread suggests, I'm looking for feedback from all in the know of Pubs/Venues that have Covers bands play for them at weekends/weekdays or otherwise. I've searched Google and the likes of entertainment.ie and gigireland.com don't have the smaller pub type venues that give Covers bands slots. In general I'm looking for venues around Monaghan, Louth, Roscommon, Westmeath, Meath and perhaps Cavan though I think I've a general idea of most of the spots in that county. The band involved play a good progressive (up to date and a scattering of some of the old classics) rock set and are good and tight but now under management that want them to spread their wings somewhat and branch out into other counties. All known venues welcome once they have similar styles of acts playing in them. A post or pm would be much appreciated! Cheers peeps! :D

The Castle Inn, Ardee Co.Louth, 041 6857117 - Bit of a dive but gets a good crowd and its fairly big.
Indigo, Ardee, Co.Louth, 041 6860060 - Nicer, Smaller, will probably ask for a demo of some sort.

Thats all from my little town. Both require your own pa.

Also McHughs in Drogheda is a good venue.

Edit: Whats the name of your band btw?

the Flying Fish Monkeys.. Strange name, I know but its kinda stuck with them now as they've been going for 4 yrs and don't want to confuse the locals by changing the name.
    Cheers for that info! ;)
