I have moved my server into my attic for reasons of noise and space.....Is there anything I should be concerned about it being up there??

SPIDERS !!! Be wary of spiders !!! And that itchy stuff used for insulation. Oh and most importantly some kind of ventilation. as a attic gets rather warm on a sunny day.

Well it has loads of space around it and kinda under it... I have it raised up off the floor. So what just go up and clean it every so often??

Yeah thats fine, just check the temps from time to time. It can get VERY hot up there!

Use something like this - http://www.hmonitor.com/ - or this - http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=311 - and use VNC to remotely connect to the server to see the console - www.realvnc.com#

Dependant on the presence of motherboard/cpu/hdd sensors obviously.

If you are running Windows 2000 / 2003 Server just use remote desktop for connecting to server.

Most Dell servers come with OpenManage software (not sure about your model though). This can be used to monitor the temp of the various components and send SNMP traps etc.
