    Hello,

I used to have a Dawes racer, and it's been a few years since I've needed a bike, or been able to ride it for pleasure. Where could I get my hands on a decent quality second hand racer for under 200Eur?

Buy and Sell or Adverts.ie. You may find very little between the ~100 (old steel racer) and ~400 (modern aluminum racer) pricepoints though.

Hi - I bought a titanium racer in September on the Buy & Sell - they always have a good few ads up for racers and mountain bikes. They re-did their website though recently www.buyandsell.ie- which confused the heck outta me - but on the good side - there's now listings for womens, mens and kids bikes.

Just as an aside - I was up in Halfords in Carrickmines on Saturday last buying some bike accessories - chatting to the guy who served me and he was saying that they are selling NO bikes up there - and in fact business was really, really quiet.

I was in Stagg Cycles today and they told me they had something like 200 bikes to build for Christmas orders, and that they'd struggle to do any repair or servicing work in the next few weeks.

Good to see the LBS model still going strong.
