    Hi
I installed a aeriel in my attic today to get the irish channels. It is feeding my main tv
(reception is perfect except for rte2 which is a little fuzzy)
Anyway I want to split the signal so I have one going to my bedroom, problem is the box that plugins is not in the attic so I guess I have 2 options

Relocate the box to the attic bringing power up there.
And use some sort of splitting box (what do I need)

Or split down in main room split the signal here(again what box do I need) The box uses F connectors. And feed back up to the attic and down to the main room
I am going to B and Q on the way home tommorow so can someone recommend what I need.

ok B&Q is very expensive for this kind of stuff.
ok what I would use is a masthead amplifier, these work by putting the amplifier close to the aerial and a power supply down near the main TV, which send power up to the AMP, easier than putting power in the attic.
    TRY cpconline.ie

This seems to be their cheapest 2 way amp (might be wrong)

also you will need a power supply for that

the amp should be placed about 5-6 feet from the aerial.

This is exactly what I have at the moment but where do I split signal he signal
I also have a digibox I could split the signal at this point feed a cable into the attic and down into the 2nd room but what splitter is needed? I take it I could get whats on the sky box than as well

Yes, use a masthead amp as Darth Maul suggested. Then the PSU can go behind the TV in Room 1 which presumably also has Sky. Run the signal through the Skybox, and loop RF1 to the local TV.

For Sky to work in Room2, you'll need a coaxial cable run from the RF2 output of Skybox in Room1 directly to Room2.

You'll not need a splitter, as the Skybox has 2 outputs.

After this is complete, you may then activate the RF2 Power which will power a magic eye (tvLink) in Room2, allowing you to change the Sky channels from there.

excellent thinking that is what I am going to do so what cable would you recommend and any where locally to purchase this.
Will running through the sky box also let the digital trial through to freeview box

RG6 cable should suffice for terrestrial signals, but if you can get CT100, so much the better. Should be available in the likes of Maplins or Peats.
