Cool CPU for Socket A?

    Hi All,

I have an old ABIT KR7A-133R, and I'm wondering what CPU would be the easiest to cool in the socket A range? I doubt there is a Socket A processor out there that can't do the job required, so power/speed isn't an issue.

Essentially, I want the rig to be very quiet without having to buy special cooling devices.

    Thanks,
    Zab.

XP 2500+ usually runs cool, go for the mobile version if you can find one.

It's still easy enough to find cooling for Socket A btw, anti

hah i just looked on komplett, and couldnt find a single one :0

    I appologise.

Btw when i had a socket A mobo, i had a 3200+ and with my aero7 cooler it never went about 45c when overclocked to 2.58ghz.

Like it was said, the 2500+ and espicially the mobile 2500+ are very cool. and the mobile version is a animal of a overclocker too, i think i remember a post here on boards.ie with someone running it at 3.0ghz on air.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll have to see what CPUs I can dig up second hand.

    Look at [SIZE=+1]CNPS7000B-ALCU Ultra-Quiet.

Will do socket A according to the spec.

    Also

Gigabyte cooler, G-Power Pro , on clockers that will do socket A also.
