USB Problen

    When I plug anything into my USB Port Windows will install it,but when I go to "My Computer"the divice does not show.I've tried different devices but nothing.These devices work on other USB Ports.
    They show in "Device Manager" under "Disk Drives" but that is were it stops.Tthinghey did work but I had a External HDD conected to the USB Port which fell on the ground while it was transfering data.Since then nothing whants to work from them.

    Did they ever work or was it just recently it happened? Go to Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager and check theres no exclamation marks by the USB devices.

    have you tried waiting a min to see if it comes up in " my computer " ? i have the same problem with my mothers packard bell. you just have to give it a while. My mother is convinced the pc has alzhiemers ! silly bint :)

    Does it show up in Disk Management?
