Have decided it's time to pack up and take myself to OZ. I'm hoping to leave in the next two months, sooner if possible!
I was just wondering is there anyone else thinking of going and wants some one to keep them company for the journey over, maybe longer.
Or if you know a bunch of people going over who wouldn't mind an extra girlie tagging along please PM me :-D

Hopefully flying out the second week in September, going to Sydney first for about a week then might rent a camper van and drive up the East Coast if I can get enough people together.

Tbh if i were you i'd fly into cairns and then make my way to Darwin and from there either go further noth to Broome or else down the centre to Alice/Ayres rock and then from there head to Sydney.

I thought the east coast kinda sucked, way too touristy and only one or two decent stops - Byron Bay being top of that list, Airlie beach is a big bpacker stop - all going on a whitsunday sailing trip. The Best places in OZ are Cairns - too party and to do the reef, Darwin/Northern Territory - this is where the reallly big crocs/wildlife are found.

They were the best in my humble opinion, i enjoyed most places but no where near as good as the stated two, never made it to Broome MYSELF BUT WOULD OF LIKED IT, ITS WELL KNOWN THE WEST COAST IS FAR MORE SPECTACULAR - ITS JUST NOT MANY PEOPLE DO THAT TRIP

I'm going over with a tent and plan to meet up with friends who are driving up to ayers rock, basically see a bit of new south wales, victoria, south australia for the month. I want to see desert as there's plenty of coastline in ireland and when i'll be there itll be the equivalent of early spring.
