I bought a macbook pro 3 weeks ago and I am facing a problem now. It keeps switching off by itself suddenly!

Does anybody have any idea what can it be?

I still have the warranty but i can only go to the store on monday but maybe somebody here can give me a light!

    Thanks!

check your energy saver settings in system preferences....there may be a setting telling it to sleep or switch off.

click on the blue apple in top left then sys preferences..in there you`ll find energy saver under hardware..try that

as i only have a mini running tiger i`m not sure if menus are same on MBP..

    hopre this helps

Your machine may need a logic board replacement. This is a known problem with MacBooks and MacBook Pros (MacBooks Pro?).

Is it only doing it on battery, or also while plugged in?

If it's only doing it while running off the battery, your battery likely needs replacing. Fill in this form and Apple will UPS you a new battery for free:

If it also happens while plugged in, you likely have hardware problem, such as a bad Intel logic board. Bring it to the store and they should be able to sort you out. That's what warranty is for.
