    just bought a Ds



    any good rpg games like Final fantasy style on the Ds or GBA

    Golden sun 1&2 for the gba are quite good.A 3D remake of final fantsy 3 for the ds is supposed to be out around christmas time.

    I'm playing Final Fantasy IV on the GBA at the moment... brilliant game.

    The Mario & Luigi games (Superstar Saga on the GBA and Partners in Time on the DS) are also definitely worth getting.

    Lost Magic seems the best I've played, mainly because you can play online as well.

    Mario & Luigi Partners in Time is a fantastic game. I'd recommend it!

    Breath of Fire 1 & 2 on GBA are pretty good. You can also get the remakes of Final Fantasy 1&2, but the despite the modern graphics the games themselves still feel quite old to play. The only FF-style RPG on DS I can think of(apart from Mario and Luigi) is Lunar Genesis, which looks nice, but I wasn't a huge fan of the original Lunar games so I don't know if it's any good.

    Breath of Fire 1 is very dated and a bit naff now. BoF2 on the other hand is excellent. Wouldn't bother with Luanar Genesis, it's getting god awful reviews. Don't forget Golden Sun 1 + 2 on the GBA. Excellent traditional J-RPGS with some nice puzzles and some of the best graphics on the handheld. The best on both the GBA and DS are the two Fire Emblem games.
