I've just done my Leaving but got a job and taking a year out. Just wondering can I still claim tax back by Christmas and would I get all of it or only some of it back as I technically wouldn't be a student anymore?

Unless you are earning over a couple of grand a week and assuming you were not working during school, you will get all your tax back that you have already paid and any you will pay between now and Christmas - you'll get this back a few weeks after you inform the revenue and afterwards you won't be paying anymore tax than you should. So it's a good idea to do it sooner rather than later.
