Remember hearing a while back about RTE showing blank screens for certain programs they didn't have rights for in NI (though this might just have been on cable?)

Are they're restrictions on what RTE show in NI on Sky?

well seeing as northern ireland is in the uk they have the uk box and if i recall right the uk version of sky dosnt have rte (unless that has changed)

might have something to do when they pay there tv licence it goes to the bbc while ours goes to rte (probably not but just a theory)

dont flame me because im curios myself

Northern Ireland has a seperate channel line up to England/Scotland who in turn have a different line up to Wales and Ireland is seperate again. Its card-determined, not the box.

From what I understand, it has changed, RTE is on the NI EPG
