MMA League League Tables - New Software

The MMA League Tables have been updated with the results from Antrim on the new look software. This software is still in testing so I have left the

old web pages in place for now. Please have a look at the results and any issues you notice, either data issues or software problems and email me at info@mmaleague.com for me to fix them.

stupid question but are the guys who fight in pro events like ROT and UFR allowed to do the MMA league?

From the rules:

Competitors Disallowed Entry:

In the interest of maintaining safety and fairness within amateur competition, competitors who have fought in two or more 'professional' Mixed-Martial Arts bouts within the last twelve months will not be permitted to compete in League matches. For the sake of this rule, the term 'professional bout' will be deemed to describe a bout in which head strikes are permitted both whilst standing AND on the ground. Amateur' bouts (head strikes permitted standing but not whilst on the ground) are not considered as a 'professional bout' for the sake of this exclusion.

A number of issues have been reported and I am working to fix them, thanks to everyone who provided feedback.

The main issue is the new Match Creation software is fully integrated witht he new league tables so it is just the push of a button to update them, but legacy information I have to reformat by hand to insert it, and whenever you modify files by hand like that the risk of human error creeps into it!

Hi Mark,

I dunno, It looks like a lot of effort. I don't see why you don't just have a simple html table of the results, they only get updated 4 times a year.

Looks good though. Just think it's a bit over kill.

It may be a sledge hammer to put in a thumbtack, but the plan is to develop this further and ultimately use it as a database for all Irish MMA in the same way as Sherdog and FCF do.

Not to mention that every task I have to perform on the League makes more time away from other things. I would prefer to develop the software once so it is updatable at the push of a button forever, than spend probably twice as much time spread out over the life of the league updating tables. It comes from working with an American company I think!

Have another look guys I think I have worked out a lot of the known issues. Maybe people can spot some more!

looks good mate. the layout is a bit arse ways in firefox but that's no major concern.

A nice touch would be to have a list of all current 1st places , 2nd place + 3rd pace ( from across all weight divisions )

I know about the firefox issue alright, though it will probably be there a while as Firefox is alien to me entirely!

Also you should probably put the plus 95 group at the end of the list rather than 2nd last.

its alphabetical, what ya gonna do! Seriously, the actual issue there is the space between 95 and the +, once I remove that the order should be correct. There is going to be a big update of this software at the weekend, I have a number of fixes tested on my local machine ready for deployment so have a look back on Monday.

Firefox layout issue sorted now. Heavyweight division now orders correclty and some other bits and pieces.

Therre is one issue in the new version with the year list adding the years again and again, cos I forgot to add a line of code last night, so don't worry about that issue.
A couple of the tables are skewed in 2005 as well and I only uploaded Renaissance results so pay them no mind. Getting there, slowly, but getting there!

There's two welterweight categories in the 2006 table on with and one without the space between 80 and kg. One is empty though so all good!
